Camping de Kleine Wielen is a cosy family campsite in the Groene Ster nature reserve, just 5 kilometres from Leeuwarden. The campsite features a shallow play pond with sandy beach, a restaurant, and an animation team in high season. Guests can rent canoes, supboards, and sup bikes for adventurous water activities.

Camping de Krabbeplaat is an ideal family campsite on the Brielse Meer on the island of Voorne-Putten. Thanks to its location in a beautiful nature and recreation area, the campsite offers numerous activities such as boat hire, fishing and swimming at its own beach. Camping Het Horstmannsbos is a beautifully located campsite in the Drentse woods, perfect for families looking to relax in nature. The campsite offers numerous activities for children, including a play and swimming pond and an animation team that organises natural activities such as hut-building. Nearby are the impressive megalithic tombs and the campsite borders directly on the Drouwenerzand nature reserve where they have a flock of Drenthe Heath Sheep grazing. For a day out, you can also visit Drouwenerzand amusement park and Dinopark Landgoed Tenaxx.
