What does Camping de Gouwe Stek have to offer?
Near Enkhuizen, in North Holland, you will find the friendly family campsite de Gouwe Stek. During the summer holidays, this is a fun children's campsite with entertainment. Children aged 4 to 8 can earn a Fien and Teun discovery diploma after completing the treasure hunt and various assignments. Children can also have fun in the various playgrounds, volleyball and football pitches or in the large pirate ship. Outside holiday periods, this campsite is very suitable for guests looking for peace and nature. You can cast a line from the special fishing jetty or enjoy a good book in the sun in front of your accommodation. At reception, you can also buy various regional products such as fruit juices, jam or wine.
Surroundings of North Holland
Next to the campsite is one of the nicest barefoot paths in the Netherlands, Gouwe Voeten of no less than 2.4 km. During your walk, you will pass herb and fruit gardens, over wobbly bridges, various obstacles and through water. So put on appropriate clothing and immerse yourself in nature. About 500 metres from the campsite you will also find the Regional Area. This area consists of woods, meadows and water. You can go for a lovely walk and/or cycle ride in the midst of nature. There are also various recreational options, such as a cool dip on a hot summer's day, an active outing in the climbing park or go back in time and discover the archaeological footprints. For children, a visit to Sprookjeswonderland and the Zuiderzee Museum is also highly recommended. Do you like to enjoy yourself from the water? Various canal cruises are offered, such as a tour of Enkhuizen's picturesque harbours. If you prefer to go out on your own, you can hire a sailing ship and explore the IJsselmeer or Wadden Sea.
