There are many cycling and walking routes around the campsite. This is the best way to discover de Maashorst nature reserve, which is known as the primeval area in Brabant thanks to its enormous diversity and special natural values. With a bit of luck you can spot wild grazers such as the wisent (European bison), Tauros and Exmoor pony. There are even special children's routes available. At Nature Center de Maashorst, for example, there is a Kabouterpad for children from about 3 to 8 years old. You rent a folder with photos, stories and assignments and the search can begin. But there are also other activities for older children.
Many activities can be visited within 15 minutes. As a day trip you can visit the Zie-Zoo animal park in Volkel. If you prefer to cool off, you will find the Golfbad in Oss, a Berenbad for the little ones, slides and you can play waves every half hour! Are you looking for more action? Then you can canoe, climb, scooter, archery or even build a raft. Beautiful cities in the area are 's Hertogenbosch (26 km) and Nijmegen (30 km).
