The beautiful location of the campsite makes it an ideal place for an active holiday. You can go hiking, cycling and canoeing directly from the campsite. When you return to the campsite, you can swin in the river or get a drink or ice cream in the cozy café, where you can also order your sandwiches for the next day.
There is plenty to see and do in the area. Close to the campsite is the famous Mullerthal Trails, with its extensive forests, high plateaus, deep valleys and a range of varied hiking trails through unspoilt nature, this is heaven for the nature lover.
Echternach (the oldest city in the country) has kept its medieval atmosphere: winding streets, remains and towers of the old city wall and a market place with magnificent mansions take the visitor back in time. Other historic places nearby are Trier, Luxembourg City, Diekirch and Vianden. There are also several medieval castles in the area to visit. Public transport throughout Luxembourg is free for everyone. The bus stop is next to the campsite entrance.
If you don't want to go on an adventure for a day and get away from the campsite, you can enjoy a fully furnished safari tent. At the campsite it is possible to swim, kayak, paddle-boarding, go-kart (the guests can borrow kayaks, go-karts and sub-boards for a small deposit) and fishing. In consultation, a small campfire can be made. In short, plenty of options at Campsite du Rivage.
