Looking for a fun campsite in France? Campsite Dun-le-Palestel is located in the Creuse in the middle of France. It is situated on the edge of the forest and has a view over the hilly French landscape that invites you to explore the area by bike.
You will find the campsite just outside the village of Dun-le-Palestel, the same name as the campsite. From your safari tent, you have a beautiful view over the rolling hills of the Creuse, but the campsite itself is also worthwhile. The fields with wild grasses and flowers are a paradise for birds and butterflies.
Children will have a great time at the playground with a trampoline and a table tennis table. To cool down, the campsite has a swimming pool where you can take a dive.
In addition to being child-friendly, Campsite Dun-le-Palestel is also suitable for parents who want to enjoy their well-deserved holiday in peace and quiet. Therefore, there is no busy animation team or children’s disco. For guests who do not feel like cooking for a while, the campsite organises a meal for all guests several times a week. An ideal way to get to know the other camping guests. There is also a pizza oven available, which comes on regularly for delicious freshly baked pizzas.
From Campsite Dun-le-Palestel you walk straight into the forest for a walk. On the campsite, there are several marked trails available. In the nearby village of Dun-le-Palestel, you will find several shops, such as a bakery and a supermarket. About 20 minutes’ drive from the campsite is the animal park Les Loups de Chabrières, where you can learn a lot about wolfs. On the ostrich farm La ferme de Beaupré Autruches, the ostrich is in the center of attention. This farm is only a 5-minute drive from the campsite.
Lovers of brocante are at the right address in the Creuse. Brocante markets are regularly organised in the area. At the campsite reception, you will find an overview with dates and times. The surroundings of the campsite were a true source of inspiration for famous painters. Both Claude Monet and Maurice Rollinat followed their diversion in the area which bears the nickname "Vallée des peintres" (valley of the painters). This area is certainly worth exploring.
