Facilities at Mini campsite Château de Satenot
Chateau de Satenot, 58250 Ternant
Looking for a fun campsite in Burgundy in the middle of France? Mini campsite Château de Satenot is a beautiful estate overlooking the Loire Valley, south of the Morvan National Park. There is plenty to do for an unforgettable holiday.
Mini campsite Château de Satenot is managed by the hospitable Nederhoff family. With the tranquillity and spaciousness of the countryside and breathtaking views over the Loire Valley, the largest wine region in France, you can relax during a well-deserved camping holiday.
The campsite is small with 6 pitches plus 2 pitches for our safari tents overlooking the Loire Valley and the campsite's pond. This pond has a beach so you can swim or fish. The old oak trees on the campsite provide the necessary shade.
At the playground, children can play in the sandpit or swing. There is also a communal area on the campsite where they can colour or play games when the weather is less.
The mini campsite is equipped with all amenities, such as heated showers, toilets, a room to do the dishes and a bread service. If you place your order before 19:00 in the evening, the sandwiches will be delivered to your safari tent the next morning.
The Loire Valley is an ideal area for cycling and hiking. You can borrow cycling and walking maps at the campsite reception. The landscape is sloping, but if you don't want to pedal too hard, you can rent an E-Bike at the campsite. The river Loire is about half an hour's drive from the campsite. Here you can make nice canoe trips.
Diverti'parc in Toulon sur Arroux is a natural park where you will find, among other things, 30 different breeds of cows and an organic garden. Entertainment for young and old can be experienced with various family games in the central hall. There are many castles along the Loire, such as Château de Sully. Here you can learn a lot about the Middle Ages and visit the beautiful castle gardens. Even more history can be found in Autun, an old Roman city with a Roman theatre, a cathedral from the Middle Ages and an Italian-style town hall.
In Givry there is an obstacle course in the trees where children can have fun, but also for young adults there is plenty of challenge with the heavier course. Antique markets are regularly organised near the campsite. The village of Ternant, which is within walking distance of the campsite, is also worth a visit.
Sometimes it is useful to know in advance if the restaurant is open during your stay, or for example the swimming pool and when the animation team is available. We have listed the most important additional information below.
