For example, you can build huts in the forest or search for bugs in the sand. Dogs are allowed on the campsite, a well-deserved holiday for the whole family!

Whether you love nature or prefer other activities, there is also plenty to do outside the campsite! For example, 10 minutes' drive from the campsite you will find the largest Dutch dolmen. Cycle to Drouwenerzand Amusement Park or take the car to Dinopark Landgoed Tenaxx. Prefer to go to a city? Assen and Emmen are close to the campsite.

Nature lovers take note: the campsite borders directly on the Drouwenerzand nature reserve. This area with woods, heath and sand drifts is managed by the Drentse Landschap. They also have a flock of Drenthe Heath Sheep grazing there. In this area, you can even find plants that are on the endangered plant species list. The Hondsrug nature reserve is also in the area. This hilly area, together with part of the surrounding area, forms the only geopark in the Netherlands. Several rare plant and animal species are found here.
