Get lost in the beautiful countryside of Drenthe

For example, 10 minutes' drive from the campsite you will find the largest dolmens in the Netherlands. Cycle to Drouwenerzand Amusement Park or take the car to Dinopark Landgoed Tenaxx. Prefer to go to a city? Assen and Emmen are close to the campsite. Nature lovers take note: the campsite borders directly on the Drouwenerzand nature reserve. This area with woods, heath and sand drifts is managed by the Drentse Landschap. They also have a flock of Drenthe Heath Sheep grazing there. In this area, you can even find plants that are on the endangered plant species list. The Hondsrug nature reserve is also in the area. This hilly area, together with part of the surrounding area, forms the only geopark in the Netherlands. Several rare plant and animal species can be found here.

From the terrace, you have a view of the play pond and playground equipment where children can enjoy themselves. There is a sandwich service where you can order online and pick up your order. To explore the area better, you can reserve an electric bike, scooter, or mountain bike.
