What should you keep in mind?
Good to know
Do I have to pay extra for my dog? When bringing your dog along on your holidays, in general this will cost you an extra €5 per dog per night. There are no dog facilities inside the safari tent, so keep in mind that you should bring the following:
- Food and water bowl
- Basket or dog bed
- Leash
- Poop bags
During the travels
Before your arrive on your holiday destination, there is some travelling to do. Not all dogs enjoy travelling by car. Especially when it's a long distance. Think about how you like to travel comfortably; your four-legged friend needs some comfort as well! We have some tips for this:
- Just like humans, dogs can get car sick. Check with your vet on how to deal with this beforehand
- Don't just stuff the dog in a corner somewhere in the car. Provide a safe place for the dog
- Make an extra stop along the way to take the dog for a walk
- Do not feed the dog right before departure. It is also not advisable to do this during the journey
- Just as we like to have a drink now and then, the same goes for the dog
