Drenthe is, of course, known for its dolmens: the Hunebeddencentrum in Borger is only a 10-minute drive away and is the best place to see these burial mounds. Kamp Westerbork is also nearby. The cities of Emmen and Assen are perfect for an afternoon of shopping, followed by a delicious dinner in one of the restaurants with cozy terraces.

The campsite is located in the middle of the woods, where there are several swimming lakes. The campsite itself also has a pleasant outdoor pool where you can enjoy an afternoon of fun, and for toddlers and the very youngest there is a paddling pool. Nearby you’ll find the recreational lake ’t Nije Hemelriek, highly recommended for a lovely day out! For swimming enthusiasts, there is a subtropical swimming pool in Borger. In short, plenty of places to swim!
