Thanks to its location in the Eifel region, Camp Kyllburg is the perfect destination for families, nature lovers and groups. Especially sports enthusiasts such as cyclists, hikers and fishermen will feel right at home here. It only takes a few hours of travelling to find yourself in a completely different environment, surrounded by peace and nature.
What does Camp Kyllburg have to offer?
Camp Kyllburg has a food truck with a cosy terrace. Here you can enjoy an ice cream, cold drink or tasty snack, but the terrace is also the place where you can relax with a good book or have fun doing puzzles, crafts or playing board games. Furthermore, the campsite is a big play paradise for young and old; you can play football and table tennis, go mountain biking or scooting, play in the river, go on family walks, build huts and sit around a campfire in the evening... there is an adventure for everyone! Unfortunately, the swimming pool cannot reopen in 2025 due to restoration work. Fortunately, you can still cool down in the Kyll, in which you can also go fly-fishing!
The surrounding area of the Eifel
The Eifel offers a variety of sights, hiking and cycling routes through beautiful natural landscapes, and quaint idyllic towns and villages. Visit adventure park “Eifelpark Gondorf”: an amusement park and zoo in one! (See information on tickets under practical information!) Are attractions perhaps a bit too much? Then you can go to the Wild & Adventure Park Daun. Here you can go on safari in your car past emus, bison and mouflon, among others! Besides photographing them, you can feed them yourself. For even more child-friendly outings, visit Dinosaur Park Teufelsschlucht (Devil's Gorge). This theme and adventure park takes you on a time-travel through Earth's history; you come face to face with 170 life-size reconstructions of animals from over 600 million years ago! In short, enough family outings to keep you entertained all day! Near the Devil's Gorge, you will also find the Irreler waterfalls. For hikers without a fear of heights, we recommend crossing the Geierlay or the Geierlay suspension bridge. This is a suspension bridge for pedestrians between the Hunsrücker towns of Mörsdorf and Sosberg. The bridge spans the Mörsdorfer Bachtal and therefore offers great views of this valley. Fancy a taste of Germany? Then go for a tour and tasting at the Bitburger Experience.
