Near Kanne, you can walk across the impressive Passerelle van Caestert. This 195-metre-long suspension bridge hangs around 50 metres above the Albert Canal and offers spectacular views of the surrounding marl cliffs and landscape.

There are also plenty of options for a full day out. At Terhills in Maasmechelen, nature and adventure come together. You can walk across the former mining spoil heaps and enjoy beautiful viewpoints over the surrounding landscape. If the weather isn't on your side, Plopsa Indoor Hasselt is a great alternative, with attractions and plenty of fun for children.

Maasmechelen is also within easy reach, with Maasmechelen Village offering plenty of opportunities for an afternoon of shopping.
