Meppel, Giethoorn, Steenwijk or Zwolle are certainly worth a visit, as there is plenty to do and see here. Also with children there is plenty to do in the area, for example you can have a fun day at Amusement Park Slagharen or the Subtropical swimming pool Hesselingen in Meppel. In short, there is plenty to see and do in the area!
