Where did you stay during your holiday?
“After a stopover in France, we arrived at Camping Lucherino on Saturday. The journey there was already a treat, with stunning views of the hills and beautiful landscapes. We stayed in a safari tent for four people, complete with a private bathroom. Truly luxurious camping! The tent had all the comforts: a nice kitchen, comfy beds, a great shower, and a lovely veranda where we could relax.”
What makes this campsite great for families?
“It’s a small and peaceful campsite, ideal for families. Our son Ivo quickly made friends to play with on the playground and trampoline. We relaxed by the pool, cooled off, and enjoyed the view. In the evening, we dined on the terrace of the campsite restaurant, where the fresh pasta was amazing. And in the morning, the homemade bread made for a perfect start to the day.”
What activities did you do?
“The area is incredibly diverse. One of the highlights was visiting Bagni San Filippo – a place with natural hot springs in the forest. A bit of hiking, bathing in warm water – Ivo loved it!
On a rainy day, we drove to Castiglione del Lago at Lake Trasimeno. The historic center sits high on a hill and offers breathtaking views over the lake. On the way back, we stopped in Montepulciano, a charming town full of wine shops and winding alleys.
When the sun came out again, we headed to the beach. We had lunch at a beach bar where we enjoyed a fantastic fish pasta. Then it was time for swimming, building sandcastles, and playing beach volleyball. A perfect beach day!”
