Camping de Boomgaard is all about tranquillity.  On the campsite, all your worries disappear and you can relax, but with such beautiful surroundings, you certainly won't get bored either. Take a walk, cycle through the area or explore the Meuse with a kayak or sup. You can also waterski, wakeboard and funtub behind the boat. Want to take it slower? Throw out your fishing rod or watch the large grazers on the Maas riverbank.

The campsite is right next to the river Maas, which you can take a long walk along. There are also several opportunities for water sports, including renting a whisper boat. The centre of Maaseik is just a 10-minute cycle ride from the campsite. Perfect for taking in the history and historical market of Maaseik and admiring the old buildings. Looking for a fun day out? Near Maaseik you will find Maasmechelen Village. Belgium's oldest private pharmacy can also be found here, this is a must-see if you're staying nearby. Behind the campsite is the Mynekomplas, a beautiful piece of nature where you can spot beavers at dusk. Is it raining and would you rather do something indoors? Then you can go bowling, visit an indoor children's amusement park or a wellness centre 2 km from the campsite. Also adjacent to the campsite is one of the 10-hectare vineyards of Wijndomein Aldeneyck. Every Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, you can taste the Aldeneyck wines, which have won several awards as the best Belgian wine, with a delicious cheese and meat board on the wine terrace or in the renovated wine bar. Finally, a visit to the ‘’white town‘’ Thorn or Maasmechelen Village outlet or Designer outlet Roermond are also recommended for foodies.
