What does Camping Emmen have to offer?
This cozy family campsite is located in the village of Schoonebeek, in the province of Drenthe. The campsite features a spacious terrace with a cafeteria where you can relax with a refreshing drink and delicious snacks, while the children play in the playground with an air trampoline. Children can also explore the campsite on various pedal toys, which can be used free of charge. Starting in mid-May, you can also enjoy swimming in the heated outdoor pool at Camping Emmen or watch from comfortable sunbeds and picnic tables. Next to the pool, you'll find the sanitary building, including a special baby room. At the back of the campsite, there is a fishing pond where anglers can cast their lines or simply enjoy the aquatic life. In certain weeks, the campsite organizes an entertainment program for the younger guests, featuring activities like crafting with (natural) materials, face painting, inflatables, water games, and much more.
Surroundings of Camping Emmen
Camping Emmen is located about a 20-minute drive from the city of Emmen. There, you can enjoy shopping, visit the Wildlands Adventure Zoo, or take your family to the indoor swimming pool, Aquarena. If you prefer tranquility and nature, we recommend exploring the Boomkroonpad (Canopy Walkway) or Bargerveen. Bargerveen is a unique piece of pristine nature in the Netherlands where living peat moss thrives. There are various hiking and cycling routes to explore the surroundings, and during some routes, you'll even cross into Germany for a while. Of course, there is also plenty to see within walking distance. Take a walk from the campsite through the meadows to Schoonebeek and enjoy the authentic streets of Schoonebeek.
