At Le Bois de la Gachère, relaxation and fun for all ages take centre stage. Every morning you can pick up fresh bread and croissants from the campsite shop. Around the pools, there’s always a cheerful buzz. Whether it’s sunny or a bit cooler, swimming is always possible! The indoor pool is open all season, and the outdoor pool adds extra fun in summer. There’s also a paddling pool for the little ones.
Children can enjoy the playground or join the Mizzy Club during high season, where the enthusiastic entertainment team organises crafts, games, and dancing. Adults can unwind with a friendly game of pétanque or table tennis, or take on a match on the sports field. Bicycles are also available for rent to explore the beautiful surroundings.
In the evenings, the campsite often hosts themed nights, live music, or karaoke. And when hunger strikes, you can head to the snack bar, restaurant, or pizzeria for a tasty meal!
Discover the charm of the Vendée
From the campsite, you can walk along a forest path for about 1.5 km to reach the Les Granges beach – perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or strolling along the Atlantic Ocean. The area is full of charming coastal towns to explore, like Les Sables-d’Olonne with its lively promenade, harbour, and cafés, or the fishing town Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, known for its authentic atmosphere and delicious fresh fish.
If you don’t mind driving a bit further, we highly recommend Puy du Fou – about an hour away. This historical theme park is famous for its spectacular shows and was France’s fourth most-visited theme park in 2022! Around the campsite, you’ll also find wonderful walking and cycling routes through the forest and along the coast, ideal for discovering the Vendée at your own pace.
