Fish passages and nature-friendly overflows have been constructed near the stream, creating a stream where fish and birds like the kingfisher feel at home. Cycle paths have also been constructed around the Slinge, so that you can enjoy nature properly. There are also nice towns nearby such as Beltrum, Borculo, Ruurlo and the fortified town of Groenlo.
