The house is located on a small lake with a bathing beach where you can swim and sunbathe in the summer. In the garden are 2 safari tents, each with its own private bathroom. It is within walking distance from the beach, a store and a bakery where you can also enjoy a sandwich or a real Swedish "fika". (coffee with one of the many delicious baked goods). In the immediate vicinity are beautiful walks and that makes this location a perfect vacation spot for both families and people who want to find peace and quiet. Astrid Lindgren has moved people all over the world with her books and so it is also here, in the small town of Vimmerby, where the foundation of her fantastic writing talent lies. In the footsteps of Astrid Lindgren, there is much to see and experience.

What do you say to go and experience the fairy tales for real? A stone's throw from the parental home is the fantastic theater park Astrid Lindgrens Värld (world). This is where fairy tales become reality. Here you walk through beautiful surroundings and meet Pippi, Emil, Ronja the robber's daughter and many others. Many times a day there are theater performances based on the fairy tales.

How about an elk safari? A fantastic experience for young and old. With an open cart through the natural habitat of the moose where you get the opportunity to see them up close! Or perhaps cycling on an old train track. Depending on how much time you have, you can choose different routes along Smalspåret. Vimmerby adventure park is an activity park with a real climbing park including the longest Zip-line (450meter) in Scandinavia. So plenty of choice for a great vacation!
