The beautiful nature in the Belgian Ardennes offers many adventurous possibilities. Go canoeing, mountain biking, or visit one of the charming towns. Due to the numerous activities available, it can be challenging to make the right choice, so we'd like to list our favorite outings for you!

1. Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is Belgium's racing circuit. Formula 1 and other races take place on this 7-kilometer long circuit. Besides the races, it's also possible to book a guided tour of the circuit, giving you a behind-the-scenes look. If you're near Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, we recommend visiting the Stavelot Automobile Museum, where the circuit's history is displayed.

2. Durbuy

The smallest town in the entire world is located in the Ardennes, and it's called Durbuy. This beautiful town has plenty of charm and history to spend a day exploring. Durbuy is also an ideal place for food enthusiasts. The restaurants and bars offer delicious dishes and drinks, with crayfish being the local specialty. The history is well-preserved in Durbuy, with the town featuring a water point, old city walls, and a castle.

3. Caves of Han

The magical Caves of Han are situated in Han-sur-Lesse. In the caves, you can admire the beautiful walls, witness light shows, and visit the museum. The caves have different "rooms," each with its own unique features. Every year, a hundred thousand people come to visit the Caves of Han. Right above the Caves of Han, you can explore the Wildlife Park, where you can observe polar wolves, red deer, and more.

4. Bastogne War Museum

The Bastogne War Museum takes you back to the harsh winters of World War II. In the museum, you can view the remains of the battlefields surrounding the Battle of the Ardennes. Throughout the journey through World War II, you will be guided by four characters from the war, making the story even more captivating. The Bastogne War Museum is located near the Mardasson Monument, which is visible from the museum.

5. The Achouffe Brewery

What is Belgium known for? Craft beers! The Belgian Ardennes is home to several breweries, including the well-known Achouffe Brewery. Achouffe Brewery has been active since the late 1970s and has since become a staple on the terrace. An Achouffe beer can be recognized by the gnome on the glass or bottle.
